Fr. Ray Ackerman (Pastor)

Fr. Ray has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma.  He also has a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts from St. Meinrad Seminary in St. Meinrad, IN.  He’s been a priest for 17 years and was assigned to St. Thomas More in August of 2005.  His goal for campus ministry is to bring students to a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, through prayer, sacraments, service, and fellowship.


Ben Ballard (Campus Outreach & Intramurals)

Ben is a junior Industrial Engineering major from Highland Village, TX.  This will be his second year as a Peer Minister.  He said that he learned a lot about ministry last year, and he is looking forward to drawing from last year’s experiences to make this year even better by continuing work with Men of Honor and encouraging others to participate in intramural teams. 


Tara Forth (Worship)

Tara is a sophomore Advertising major from Jenks, OK.  Her goals for campus ministry are to create an organized, inclusive, balanced atmosphere for students who want to get involved with the liturgy and to build a strong, active community.



Jennifer Grover (Administration & Development)

Jennifer is a junior who is majoring in International and Area Studies with minors in European Studies, African Studies, and Economics.  She is originally from Oklahoma City, OK.  She is very excited about being a Peer Minister and looks forward to enhancing the student programs at St. Thomas More as well as building a strong community of Catholic students.


Emily Scales (Retreats)

Emily is a senior Music Technology major from The Woodlands, TX.  She is looking forward to being able to continue serving the students, parish, and community through her position. She hopes to be able to use her talents in a new way this year that will bring further growth to campus ministry.


Phillip Smith (Publicity)

Phillip is a super-senior from Lawton, OK.  He is a Philosophy major with a minor in History.  His goal for campus ministry is to continue the momentum built from the last school year and grow the campus ministry even more in order to accommodate all the different groups and programs that are present at the St. Thomas More Student Center.


Justine Summers (Service & Social Justice)

Justine is a junior from Billings, MT.  She is Musical Arts major with a secondary emphasis on Zoology Biomedical Sciences.  She plans to attend the University of Washington's Medical School and pursue a career in surgery. Her hopes for campus ministry include introducing her fellow students to the needs and issues of the world around them to help them make informed decisions about their fellow men.

K. Erin Cleto (Campus Minister)

Erin has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Dallas and a Master of Liturgical Studies from St. John’s University in Minnesota.  She is also an adjunct instructor of Theology at St. Gregory’s University.  Erin sees campus ministry as a crossroads of faith, academics, and life where students, faculty, and staff encounter and engage God, one another, and the world.


Eric Anderson (Faculty Advisor)

Eric has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Colorado State University and a Master of Fine Arts from Indiana University.  He was appointed to the Art faculty in 1990, and last year he accepted a full professorship in the School of Art and Art History.  He has been the Faculty Advisor for over 15 years.  His goal for campus ministry is to have more presence on the OU campus, to reach as many students as possible.
